are lots of good places to stay in the area, because we live
in the middle of nowhere, none of them are within walking
distance, but all are just a short drive or Taxi ride away.
You can leave your car parked at the reception overnight if
you wish to get a lift or a taxi to a nearby hotel, just make
sure it’s gone by the time we get back from honeymoon!

located in the service area with access from the opposite
carriageway.

has a McDonalds within walking distance - ideal for a hangover breakfast
in the morning!

Say… Located in the area known as The Mount,
close to the historic city centre, Hotel du Vin York
is a beautiful grade II listed building that dates back
to the early 19th century. Formerly a private home,
orphanage and most recently the Shepherd Homes building,
the hotel has 44 stylish bedrooms and suites,
the HdV trademark Bistro, Bar and private dining rooms,
along with a courtyard for alfresco dining during the
warmer months.
We
Say… This is an excellent hotel, also just
20 minuets away and where Katie will be spending the
night before the big day. Excellent food, excellent
cocktails and excellent service!
